The GRL Guide to Creativity and Wellbeing

We are very excited to share the GRL Guide to Creativity and Wellbeing, available from today to download for free! 🌟

This is the digital version of a physical booklet created and sent out to 102 young women and trans youth aged 11-16 years old across the UK this summer. Download the guide here.

The Guide was developed to encourage the use of creativity as a tool for wellbeing during lockdown – while we were unable to run our regular in-person music camps.

Inside you’ll find creative and wellbeing activities put together by the GRL team, volunteers and camp alumni, including songwriting tips, how to make a drum kit at home, recipes, how to use art as an activist tool and more! 🎨 🥁 📝

We are sharing the Guide freely. Anyone can download it for free and we encourage youth organisations to share it with young people. We hope you enjoy trying out the activities in the Guide and would love to hear what you think of it.

We are very grateful to Arts Council England and Youth Music for funding our summer project, and to the organisations listed in the Guide who allowed us to include their resources.
