Are you 18-25 years old and living in London?
Are you a musician and passionate about amplifying the voices of girls and young women? Then look no further!
We are recruiting three Young Music Leaders for our Summer Girls’ Camp 2018.
At Girls Rock London, we work with young women, trans and gender nonconforming youth aged 11–16 to improve their self-esteem and confidence through music. Over the course of the week-long ‘camp’, participants learn the basics of an instrument, form a band, write a song and perform it at a live gig.
As a Young Music Leader you will be curating and coordinating our lunchtime artist programme, working closely with established and upcoming acts to find bands and artists to perform to participants at the camp.
You will also actively participate in our camp activities, working with young women to teach them the basics of either vocals, drums, drumpad/sampler, bass, guitar or keys/synth, and helping out in the general running of the camp.
Every Young Music Leader will be assigned a mentor from our team of music professionals, and will be given full training and support throughout their time with us.
